Fun game, found a bug tho. If you leave your mouse over the shut down bank account button, you can press it over and over again to repeat the animation. To be clear: I'm just notifying you of the bug, but I love the game.
I had to look into the games source code to find the correct answer, because the font is absolute garbage to read. Would recommend if the font was better.
I get that this game is trying to do something in a style of detective game like Hypnospace but honestly, puzzles feel kinda weird. It doesn't feel like there's any real challenge to them - basically it's like a place in the game asks you to input a word, and you find it elsewhere stated explicitly.
There is no real lateral thinking required, you just do what you're told to, going through the motions.
Like personally I found that to make a deduction puzzle, player should be forced to make a connection that isn't explicitly stated in the game. Hypnospace does it, Obra Dinn does it, every good detective game does it. Like, you're given a hint 1, a hint 2, and you have to make the connection between them yourself using real life knowledge.
The closest thing to lateral thinking is the childhood pet puzzle, but even then it feels bit too easy. You shouldn't be afraid to challenge the player a little bit, especially since you have a hint system.
The writing is decent enough because it's sorta funny. It's not amazing, like laugh out loud funny, but it's okay, and it really salvages the game.
Oh no... I always read the content behind the game first, but today i mistakenly skipped the note laid by developer to not use capital letters!!! stupid me...
No worries, I just missed the ending... if possible could someone post a gameplay of it here in comments so that i can see the ending, it will be very helpful.

Hey, great game! Loved solving the puzzles! Just one thing, after you shut down the bank, you can still click the shutdown button. I randomly pressed it again and the ending text overlapped so I couldn't read it. Maybe you could tick the "Block Raycast" on the black screen that appears, that would fix it ig.
That was a lot of fun. But the layering is kind of broken. When I had 2 apps open, and I clicked something on one of them, it would open something on the app behind it. Idk, it was weird. Also I wish there was a visual indication that you successfully changed your password, maybe that window could close and you'd get an email. Overall, nice game!
After entering the right credentials, putting in the new password, and clicking the button, the window closed for me. It did change the password, but there was no visual indication. When I opened it back again, it said invalid credentials to me. And I could log into the bank after that.
I ran into the same issue. It might be because you capitalized the password when you typed it in. I restarted the game and didn't capitalize anything and it worked.
I don't know if i did something wrong but i couldn't find the answers to the password reset, so i took a look at the comments and had the same answers as someone else with the same problem and they didn't work.
Will try to keep as spoiler free as possible but, when you get into phone+ and are getting the required info, it is a bit confusing the information you gain from it doesn't seem to be for the scammer. It's the information of a person that has been scammed, but then you use it as if it were the scammers information. This led to a fair bit of confusion and I see from the comments I am not the only one.
With the exclusion of this and my earlier comment about being able to modify text files causing the need to restart the game and then being unable to skip the cutscene,
It was a fun game with a fun concept, would definitely be fun to see a further extrapolated version of this, perhaps the MC starting a company to fight against scammers or something.
Anyway, great game, had fun with it. Sorry if the majority of my text seems negative, my overall opinion of the game is a positive one.
No problem, thanks for playing. About your Phone+ point, I'm not sure if it was really clear, but in the message it states that there has "been a charge from an account number with the pin of XXXX". I meant for this to kind of imply that the scammer was taking their money and charging it to his account, but I can see how it is unclear.
But yeah, your other points are also totally valid, and I would probably change in retrospect.
Accidentally modified a file, was unable to restore it to its original content (which contained vital information to be able to complete task).
Ctrl + z functionality in text files, or not automatically saving their content would improve the quality here a lot. Or simply not allowing the modification of files.
This happened in my first minute of gameplay, so restarting not too much an issue but still annoying (especially when starting cutscene is unskippable)
Good point, didn't really think of this. Just kinda added in the modifying text files as a bit of a gag, but I didn't really think about deleting important information.

Well, this game was made in, like, 48 hours, so I'm not suprised that the puzzles didn't require lateral thinking.

It didn't accept the numbers i found on remote+ for the password reset WHY

Nice game. There are a few bugs with the layering and the text after you win but really well made.

This game feels so nice. I was wondering about how you would incorporate the hacking mechanic, but this feels very intuitive.
While playing through the game, the ability to take notes within those files was so useful.
The first note where it said phone+ password, I thought you meant phone number and password. Mistake on my end.
It felt very polished. Only thing I was missing was the ability to tab to the next input but that is just a minor thing.
The design decision to not limit the windows to the actual desktop was major. Felt way better that way.
